Fort Flagler State Park

Looking for an easy First Day Hike? This one at Fort Flagler State Park is for you! Hike the full two miles along Bluff Trail or break off part way for a 3/4-mile adventure. Either way, you’ll be greeted by fascinating—and historic—military structures and an amazing panoramic view of North Puget Sound.   You will also benefit from the knowledge of our own birding expert, Kay Goodhue, who will be joining you on your hike.  Kay will be helping to identify the interesting and unique birds we have here at Fort Flagler.  Kay suggests bringing binoculars if you have them.  For an extra dose of history, check out the park museum. It’s open on New Year’s Day!  As an added bonus, it’s the first FREE DAY of 2015 at all Washington State Parks.  NO DISCOVER PASS REQUIRED!!!!
